FYI Challenge #21 & Design Team Call

Happy New Year to all of our friends!

Welcome to the first FYI challenge of 2012!  We hope you've had a great start to your new year, and also hope that you are continued to be blessed as the year goes on.  We had some wonderful entries last challenge.  Thanks so much to all who were able to participate.  We will be back on the 13th to announce our next Lovely Lotus and random winner.  I've got lots to share today, so let's get to it!

First of all, I'm sad to say that we will be losing Peggy and Keva at the end of February.  They've been wonderful additions to the team, but are going to focus on family and other crafty opportunities.  With that being said, I'm looking to add a couple more designers to the group.  If you're interested, email me (onecraftychica@gmail.com) with all of your contact information, your blog address, and three of your best projects.  I'd like to hear a bit about yourself as well.  You can apply through the 31st, and the new DT members will be notified by the 4th of February.  The new term starts on March 1st.

All about me & the Wax Fruit Company...

I'm Arielle, I work full time and design in the wee hours of the morning. I was born in southeast Alabama, moved away to New Orleans a couple years & northern California for 5 & came back 'home' to settle down. I'm married to Jeff, truly the love of my life & we have 2 children - Alex (3.5 yrs) and Maisie Grace (2 yr). Life is so much more interesting and amazing through the eyes of your children!  I love to stamp & paper craft, and began digital scrapping this past year. But before that I was an artist (printmaking/painting/drawing) for fun and digital graphic designer by trade. Now I doodle around and make some digital stamps and sentiments here & there. I've been on a break the last couple months from image designing, but am looking forward to starting the new year with some brand new images!

Now, onto this weeks inspiration photo.  I give you, a most gorgeous balcony.

I love how it looks like there's something glowing up in the background, by the window.  The neutral colors, against the darker ones are so calming, and the architecture is stunning.  So, how are you inspired?

Remember, your interpretation of the photo is just that, your interpretation. There's no right or wrong. Just tell us a bit about how you were inspired as sometimes it isn't obvious. And, don't forget, you can create any kind of crafty project you like. The idea is to take inspiration from the photo to get your creative mojo flowing. This challenge is open until Wednesday, 1/18.
